Still to decide before this text goes live:
- The cookie table lists what the new site is expected to set. Regenerate it from a cookie scan of the built site and drop anything not loaded (gap analysis #11). Durations come from the providers' documentation; the old iubenda policy gives 2 years for the HubSpot cookies, HubSpot now documents 6 months.
- Which trackers stay (DECISIONS B12). The Google Ads row is shown only as the "one ad platform" option; remove it if no ad platform is kept. Meta, Bing, Reddit, Floodlight, Apollo, Kickfire and NeverBounce are not listed.
- US visitors (B12): notice plus opt-out, or opt-in everywhere. Both options are written below; keep one.
- Consent tool not chosen yet, so the consent cookie's name and lifetime are placeholders. Consent Mode v2: basic or advanced mode to decide. Test the EU/UK banner from an EU IP before launch (#12), and use one setup across qboid.ai, the blog and info.qboid.ai.
- Fonts and scripts are assumed self-hosted; HubSpot chat, if kept, loads only after consent; reCAPTCHA only if the forms keep it (#13). The UK DUAA analytics exemption is not relied on (#14).
- The footer "Cookie settings" link must reopen the consent banner on the live site; in the preview it jumps to "Change your choice".
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job; this policy calls them all "cookies". First-party cookies are set by qboid.ai. Third-party cookies are set by another company's service used on the site, such as Google Analytics.
Some cookies last only until you close the browser (session cookies); others stay for a set time (persistent cookies).
The four categories
- Strictly necessary
- Make the site work and keep it secure, and remember your cookie choice. Always on; they don't need consent.
- Analytics
- Count visits and show which pages are used, so we can improve the site. Off until you agree, if you are in the EU or UK.
- Marketing
- Connect your visits to the details you send in a form, in our CRM (HubSpot), so sales knows what you looked at. Off until you agree, if you are in the EU or UK.
- Embedded content
- Videos come from YouTube's privacy-enhanced service (youtube-nocookie.com) and load only when you click play. YouTube may then store cookies under its own policy.

How consent works
Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland
- On your first visit, a banner asks for your choice. Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you answer.
- "Reject all" is as easy to find as "Accept all", and closing the banner counts as rejecting. You can also choose category by category.
- Google tags run in Google Consent Mode v2: they receive your choice, and without your consent they set no analytics or advertising cookies. To confirm
- If you reject, we won't ask again for 6 months unless you open Cookie settings yourself.
Visitors in the United States and elsewhere
Decision B12 One of these two applies; the other will be removed.
- Option A, notice and opt-out: analytics and marketing cookies are on when you arrive. A notice explains this and links to Cookie settings, where you can turn them off at any time.
- Option B, opt-in everywhere: every visitor sees the same banner as EU and UK visitors, and nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you agree.
Wherever you are, a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is treated as a refusal of marketing cookies.
Change your choice
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. It takes effect from the next page you open. Withdrawing consent doesn't remove cookies already stored; your browser can clear them (see below).
A "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page opens the same panel.
Preview only The button does nothing in this preview.
Browser controls
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies. Blocking all cookies can stop parts of the site, such as forms, from working, and browser settings don't let you choose by category. Instructions for common browsers:
- Google Chrome (opens in a new tab)
- Mozilla Firefox (opens in a new tab)
- Apple Safari (opens in a new tab)
- Microsoft Edge (opens in a new tab)
Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics (opens in a new tab) on every site.
Our other sites
The store (store.qboid.ai), the blog (blog.qboid.ai) and our HubSpot landing pages (info.qboid.ai) may set their own cookies, and each shows its own cookie notice. To confirm This policy covers qboid.ai.
