Handheld dimensioning and data capture

Measure boxes, irregular items and pallets where they are.

Dimensions, weight, barcode and photos, sent straight to your WMS, ERP or TMS, in workflows that match your process.

The M2 Mobile Dimensioner (model Perceptor M2) goes to the item, and the S1 turns it into a benchtop station. Apps for parcels, pallets and your own process run on it.

Three ways to get dimensions

Bring the item to a machine, measure by hand, or take the measurement to the item.

Most warehouses have had two options. Both cost more than they look.

Fixed machinery

Fast on its own lane. A capital project with floor space and installation, and every item has to come to it.

02

Tape measure

Cheap and slow. Results depend on who reads the tape, and there's no photo or record unless someone types it in.

03 · The M2

Take it to the item

Boxes, irregular items and pallets, anywhere in the building. Barcode, photo and weight go into the same record.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask first

What is a mobile dimensioner?

A handheld device that measures the length, width and height of an item where it is, instead of carrying the item to a fixed station. The M2 does this with 3D sensors: you point it at the item and press one key.

Can the M2 measure pallets and irregular items?

Yes. With the Item & Parcel app it measures boxes and irregular items such as polybags, cylinders and bundles; irregular items are recorded as their bounding box. With the Pallets app it measures pallets, crates and long boxes from about 3 ft up to 7 ft wide or tall. Details are in the M2 spec table and on the pallet dimensioning page.

How accurate is it?

±0.25 in for cuboid items and ±0.5 in for irregular items, scanned top-down from more than 18 in. Pallets measured with the Pallets app: 1 in.

How does the data get into our WMS, ERP or TMS?

Each scan is a record with dimensions, weight, barcode, shape and three photos. The M2 sends it over Wi-Fi as an HTTPS POST to QBOID Cloud, to your own system, or both. Integration partners already connect the M2 to systems such as NetSuite and SAP.

How much does it cost?

Prices for the M2, the app licences and accessories are on the QBOID store ↗. For a quote on several devices, an evaluation rental or a reseller near you, contact sales.

Can we try it before we buy?

Yes. Book a demo to see it on your own items, or rent an evaluation unit from the store.
